The Waypoint Relay Pocket Caddy is an original everyday-carry organizer pattern built around a flexible floating center rail. Instead of stitching a rigid divider from top to bottom, the Relay secures the rail only near the bottom and captures it under a short leather keeper. The rail can flex slightly toward either side, helping the two main
channels adapt to different tool widths.

The finished organizer is approximately 3.25 in wide × 4.75 in tall and is intended for a compact folding knife or small multitool, a slim flashlight, and a pen or pry tool clipped to the exposed rail. The angular lower edge keeps the design visually consistent with the Waypoint EDC family.

The current downloadable pattern is Pattern v3. It retains the same product design and dimensions while using full-size vector pattern pages and realistic product renders matched to the pattern geometry. The download includes a 10-page US Letter PDF with full-size templates, matched stitch geometry, a 1-inch calibration square, cardstock
fit-check instructions, cut list, materials and hardware guidance, floating-rail assembly, saddle-stitch construction, fitting notes, finishing ideas, and license.

Digital pattern only. No leather, tools, hardware, EDC gear, or finished organizer is included.

Why It Stands Out

Floating rail adapts better than a fixed stitched divider.
Pen/pry tool clips to the divider itself – no third bulky pocket required.
Matched front/back stitch geometry simplifies alignment.
Full-size pattern pages remain vector-based for clean printing and scaling accuracy.
Cardstock fit-check is built into the instructions because EDC dimensions vary.

FAQs

Is this a finished organizer? No. It is a digital PDF pattern only.

Will it fit my specific knife or flashlight? Tool dimensions vary. Use a cardstock fit-check with your actual gear before cutting leather.

What size paper is required? US Letter, printed at 100% / Actual Size.

Does the center rail create two fully separate pockets? No. It is intentionally
floating so it can flex between differently sized tools.

Can I sell finished organizers made from the pattern? Small-batch finished physical-item sales are allowed under the included license; redistribution of the pattern is not.
