Learn to cut a flowing vine, bevel five open leaves, and place seven even seeder impressions with Seedpath – the first original design in the Old Line practice series. This is a digital leather tooling pattern and beginner guide; no physical leather or tools will be shipped.

Seedpath gives new leatherworkers a manageable Sheridan-inspired practice piece with a clean full-size tracing design and a step-by-step tooling order. The design fits within a 5 x 3 in (127 x 76.2 mm) rectangular practice panel.

YOUR DOWNLOAD: One eight-page PDF containing a finished-look reference, two beginner tool-guide pages, project instructions, separate full-size US Letter and A4 tracing pages, a tooling map, and practice notes. Both tracing pages have a 1-inch calibration square.

TOOLS AND MATERIALS: 5-6 oz unfinished vegetable-tanned tooling leather, tracing film, stylus, swivel knife, smooth beveler, pear shader, seeder, mallet and firm slab. Leather, tools and a finished item are not included.

PRINTING: Print the Letter or A4 tracing page at 100% / Actual Size.Turn off Fit or Shrink and check the calibration square before transferring. Trace solid black lines only; the dashed border and dotted seeder guides are not cut lines.

The finished leather shown in listing photos is an illustrative rendering based on the exact included pattern, not a photograph of a physically tooled sample. Actual results will reflect your leather and technique.
